Narrative Paragraph:

From the list of themes and environments I have chosen ‘Mystical Fantasy’ and ‘Hero’s Home’. My idea for a diorama is to create a house that is visually inspired by Studio Ghibli as well as architecture from the South of France and Italy. It will feature textures such as bright peeling paint worn by the sun, and old and crumbling brickwork. I have also gathered references that feature old windows and shutters, as well as overgrown flowers and ivy. It is set in an idyllic and sunny meadow and is a respite from the stressful world outside of the small village. The family who lives there tend to their farm and sell their produce, which allows them self sufficiency and a way to enjoy their life in a sunny, beautiful location.
